Nikita Sereda & Jones Hall
Nikita Sereda hat im Wintersemester 2022 begonnen an der Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf zu studieren. In der Klasse von Prof. Peter Piller lernte er Jones Hall kennen, mit dem er 2023 ein Patenschaftstandem bildete. Im Zuge ihrer Zusammenarbeit fokussierten sich beide auf eine gemeinsame Recherche der Kunst- und Kulturgeschichte des Rheinlands und Ruhrgebiets. Der daraus entstandene Dialog über die deutsche Geschichte und ihre Reflektion über die unterschiedlichen gesellschaftlichen Perspektiven und historischen Narrationen im Hinblick auf die aktuelle Situation in der Ukraine, flossen direkt in die künstlerische Arbeit Nikita Seredas ein.
Nikita Sereda began studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Düsseldorf in the winter semester of 2022. In Prof. Peter Piller’s class, he met Jones Hall, with whom he formed a partnership tandem in 2023. In the course of their collaboration, they focused on joint research into the art and cultural history of the Rhineland and Ruhr region. The resulting dialog about German history and their reflection on the different social perspectives and historical narratives with regard to the current situation in Ukraine had a direct impact on Nikita Sereda’s artistic work.
